Tower Garden High Capacity Pump (used with 2+ extension kits):This pump is rated at 714 GPH, 0.43 amps, 48 watts @ 120 VAC/60 Hz.
Tower Garden Indoor LED Light Kit: The Tower Garden LED Grow Lights Kit is rated at 1 amp, 125 watts, 120 VAC/60 Hz.
For the Tower Garden FLEX, the reservoir holds 20 gallons of water and is 30" x 30" (5 sq. ft.). It stands 55" tall and holds up to 20 plants. Extension kits are available for the FLEX unit providing additional growing ports.
Vegetables (like leafy greens, peas, cruciferous veggies, and so much more), herbs (basil, chives, thyme, and many more), fruits (such as tomatoes, cucumbers, squash), and flowers (chamomile, borage, calendula, nasturtium, to name a few).
Tower Garden will grow just about anything except woody-stemmed plants like root crops, grapevines, bushes, and trees.
That depends. If you’re growing indoors, they will be necessary, especially if you will be growing through the winter. Thanks to its compact, vertical design, Tower Garden fits almost anywhere, indoors or outdoors. Tower Garden HOME takes up about 3 sq ft. of space, while Tower Garden FLEX uses about 5 sq. ft.
If you are growing vining plants or plants that tend to “bush out” (like tomatoes), consider the extra space needs.
Also consider:
Light needs for plants Water access and quality (avoid chlorinated water, very hard or soft water).
Water treatment and filtering might be a good idea.
Electricity access for pump timer and LED Indoor Grow Lights (if using).
Temperature. Between 65-85 degrees Fahrenheit is a sweet spot, but there are options to help in much colder or hotter temperatures if necessary (such as a water heater in the reservoir or a shade cloth).
Make sure the floor or ground is level under the Tower Garden. If not, shims might be considered to level the Tower Garden.
